Initial First Visit
Acupuncture is a type of service that involves pricking the skin or tissues with needles. This is used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Originating in ancient China, acupuncture has grown to become an increasingly common medical practice around the world today.
Your first visit starts with a consultation and a review of your medical history and health condition with our professional acupuncturist. Once this is done, you will then have your first acupuncture. Our acupuncturist will also make a personal customized treatment plan for you along with scheduled follow-up visits.
Gua sha is a technique used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It is a form of treatment modality that, in most cases, acupuncturists will use on clients as it can help alleviate pain. The term “gua sha” loosely translates to ‘scraping, rubbing or pushing.’ Essentially, it is a tool-assisted type of massage. It is often used to treat muscle pain and tension.
Cupping is one of the oldest methods of traditional Chinese medicine. It is thought to open up pores in the skin so that blood flow may circulate better, which actually helps balance one’s levels of Qi, stimulates detoxification and improves overall health as well.
