GUASHA

Gua sha is a technique used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It is a form of treatment modality that, in most cases, acupuncturists will use on clients as it can help alleviate pain. The term “gua sha” loosely translates to ‘scraping, rubbing or pushing.’ Essentially, it is a tool-assisted type of massage. It is often used to treat muscle pain and tension.

CUPPING

Cupping is one of the oldest methods of traditional Chinese medicine. It is thought to open up pores in the skin so that blood flow may circulate better, which actually helps balance one’s levels of Qi, stimulates detoxification and improves overall health as well.
